# Manage energy data and offered support

> Check incentive rules, approved products and source freshness.

Before enabling a program, read its scope and conditions. A retailer offering a program does not make every customer eligible. The quote checklist still needs customer-specific answers.

## Check freshness

Distinguish the last attempted check from the last successful update and a source's publication/effective date. An unsuccessful check does not prove a product was delisted or that a rule changed.

If approval data is unavailable or requires manual verification, use the official source and record the result through the supported process. Do not describe an unverified product as approved.

## Use it with quotes

Recheck location, installation date, equipment and eligibility whenever a material quote input changes. Review warnings before issuing. Historical offers retain their issued snapshot rather than following future source changes.
