# Review incentives and STC calculations

> Keep rebates, loans and customer price separate.

**Open:** the quote's incentive/review controls. Administrators choose offered support under **Energy data**.

## Apply an incentive

1. Confirm the installation location and date.
2. Select the program offered by your retailer.
3. Answer its eligibility checklist from current customer evidence.
4. Review whether it reduces the system price or funds part of the balance.
5. Resolve missing information or review warnings.
6. Check the conditional wording and amount in the customer preview.

Selection and rep confirmation are not government or lender approval. Changing the customer, equipment, date or relevant provider can require fresh answers. Do not carry an old eligibility answer into a materially different quote.

## How STC back-calculation works

Check **Retailer Settings → Pricing** for the package-price basis.

| Basis | Treatment |
| ------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| After federal STCs | The calculated STC value is added back to show the full system price, then deducted separately |
| Before incentives | The package starts at the full price and the eligible incentive is deducted |

For illustration only: a $10,000 after-STC package with a calculated $2,000 STC benefit is displayed as $12,000 before that benefit and $10,000 after it. Subtracting the same \$2,000 again would double-count it.

Open **How STCs are calculated** to inspect the dated certificate count, value per certificate and total. Confirm equipment capacity, installation date and CER zone. If postcode mapping is unresolved, verify the correct zone before selecting it manually.

A future-date comparison, where shown, is a scenario. It does not change the current quote or establish future eligibility.

## Other benefits

A **rebate** may reduce the price. A **government loan** is repayable funding, not a discount. Commercial finance and retailer promotions are separate again.

Read the current program checklist and official source linked in Energy data. Scheme amounts and eligibility can change; the quote's saved terms and evidence matter.

## ArgonixIntelligence in this workflow

Intelligence can help interpret information, but only the applicable scheme and lender can approve support. Verify the calculation and conditional language before sending.
