Submit rebates with BridgeSelect

BridgeSelect is an Australian solar and rebate compliance service. It submits certificate applications — PV STC, Battery STC, PRC and REPS — on a retailer’s behalf, then reports back the certificate figures it holds for each application. In ArcSolar it sits alongside Formbay and GreenDeal as a third rebate provider: an alternative, not a replacement. Connecting a provider never enables certificate tracking or a government submission on its own.

What BridgeSelect covers

BridgeSelect handles certificate applications that a retailer submits after an installation. Today ArcSolar supports four application types:REPS is listed but cannot be selected. It applies to hot water and aircon jobs in South Australia, which ArcSolar does not sell yet. Virtual power plant participation on a battery is recorded under Battery STC instead — REPS does not cover it.

Connect the account

An administrator or operations member connects BridgeSelect once for the whole workspace.Where: Retailer Settings → Integrations → BridgeSelect. The card carries a Beta badge and a status label.You need two things from BridgeSelect, both found under Settings → API & Integrations in BridgeSelect:

• the Retailer username, and
• the Account secret — the 2nd-factor secret you generate there.

1. Choose Connect account.
2. Enter the Retailer username.
3. Enter the Account secret.
4. Choose Verify credentials.
5. Check that BridgeSelect accepted the credentials for your business, then choose Connect verified account.

The platform key is already configured by ArcSolar — you never need to paste it. Verification comes first so you never connect an account you have not confirmed.Status labels you may see: Check connection…, Not connected, Disconnected, Needs attention, First sync pending, Connected, Status unavailable. Needs attention carries BridgeSelect’s own last error. First sync pending means the credentials work but no application has been read yet.Read applications now refreshes from BridgeSelect. Disconnect removes the saved secret and stops reading; existing project associations and previously read applications stay available.

Prepare a submission

Have these ready before you start. BridgeSelect rejects a request missing any of them, and ArcSolar blocks the same ones before sending.

• The installation address, complete and geocoded. Coordinates are mandatory — an address without latitude and longitude is rejected rather than accepted as approximate.
• The customer and installation contact names, emails and mobile numbers.
• The NMI, if you have it — 9 or 11 digits. Leave it blank rather than guessing.
• The installation date as DD/MM/YYYY.
• The certificate types you are claiming.
• For a battery: the grid connection type, the number of battery STCs, and the customer’s out-of-pocket amount.
• The installer’s CEC or plumbing licence number.

One panel brand per application. If a job genuinely needs two brands, split it into two applications.

Submit, then read back

Submitting is not instant and not interactive. When you submit, ArcSolar queues the application, a background worker sends it, and a later read brings back what BridgeSelect holds. You do not need to keep anything open.The first submission for your account is special. BridgeSelect has to accept one real submission before ArcSolar is allowed to send any others, so the first one acts as its own test. Until that succeeds, later submissions are refused with BridgeSelect submissions for this account have not been verified. Reconnect the BridgeSelect account and try again. Reconnecting resets that state and re-runs the check.A submission that times out is never re-sent. BridgeSelect may already have applied it, and sending it twice risks creating a second real application on your account. Instead ArcSolar reads the application back to find out what actually happened. Treat a timeout as “check, don’t retry”.On the project, the Reported for this project card shows what BridgeSelect returned, with the property, address, the NMI BridgeSelect reports, the certificate figures, and the deeming period. It also lists what changed at each read, so you can see movement without re-reading everything.BridgeSelect publishes no way to list its jobs. ArcSolar can only read a reference it already knows — one it submitted, or one you add by hand with Add reference. An application appears on a project only after it has been read at least once.

Link an application to a project

Linked applications appear on the project’s rebate area. To link one:

1. Open the project.
2. Find the BridgeSelect area.
3. Either add the BridgeSelect job reference for an application you did not submit here, or pick from the applications ArcSolar has read.
4. Choose Link to this project.

An application can be linked to only one project. If it is already linked elsewhere, ArcSolar refuses rather than moving it. An application also has to have been read at least once before it can be linked — an unconfirmed reference never makes a project look like it has a live application. Unlink reverses the association without deleting the application.Adding a reference does not read it. The next read collects it, which is why a newly added reference shows Awaiting first read until then. A single reference cannot be added twice to the same project.

What BridgeSelect does not do

Be careful not to overstate what this integration proves.

• It does not report an approval status. BridgeSelect has no approval state for ArcSolar to show. ArcSolar shows the certificate figures BridgeSelect returns and what changed at each read. That is not confirmation that a claim was created, paid or approved.
• Sales do not see the account-wide application list. It spans customers they cannot access.
• Documents are not supported. Uploading and downloading documents has no BridgeSelect interface to call, so it is unbuilt rather than merely disabled.
• ArcSolar cannot discover applications you created in BridgeSelect. Nothing lists jobs, so you must add the reference by hand.

A few details are waiting on answers from BridgeSelect. ArcSolar has deliberately not guessed them, so treat everything below as unsettled rather than as a defect you should work around. Ask support if you hit one.
